Cheju Island

Cheju Island is situated 85 kilometers south of the Korean mainland.

Because of this separation it has its own culture and dialect.

Cheju is famous for being a place for honeymoon, although many Koreans go to Guam, because it is cheaper there.

Cheju is home of about 400.000 inhabitants (in year 2000).
