barrow
Kyeong-Yu was capital of the Shilla dynasty for almost 1000 years.
It originated in 57 BC und was destroyed twice after the first decline
in 918 before it was forgotten for several years. In the twentieth century
many parts were restored. There are a lot of Buddha shrines, temples, inscriptions,
rock paintings, pagodas and statues. On the picture you see one of the barrows.
It is the barrow of Ch'eonmach'ong from fifth century which was opened to the
public as a small museum.
